What is UAN Number?
A Universal Account Number (UAN) is generated by Employee’s Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), India for each Provident Fund (PF) contributing member. The UAN Acts as organiser that links multiple Member Identification Number (Member Ids) allotted to single member by different establishments under single Universal Account Number (UAN). If a UAN number is allotted to a member then he/she required to provide the same on Joining so the new employer can link the newly allotted Member Identification Number with already allotted Universal Account Number (UAN).
How to change login password of your UAN Account.
To change password of your account, First of all login to your Universal Account Number (UAN) by using your UAN Number and Password that was sent to your Mobile Number after activation.
- Once you logged in you will see Member profile information in the right as shown in the screenshot below.
- Now click on Account Menu and select Change Password. It would open a Change Password Form as shown below.
- Now enter the details in the form that is:-
- Old Password
- New Password
- Confirm New Password
The new password should contain:
- Minimum 7 Characters.
- At least one capital and one small letter.
- At least one special character.
- Minimum 4 alphabets.
- Minimum 2 digits.
- Max length of password should be 20.
Now click on Update Button and if all the details are valid then your password will be updated immediately. Now you can logged in with your new password.
